Airfares, hotels to cost more - Business Travel - Business Surveys Series

INCREASING business travel demand across the globe is set to push up airfares and accommodation prices in all markets in 2005, with costs in Australia forecast to rise by between 2 and 4 per cent.

The latest American Express Global Business Travel Forecast survey predicts domestic economy airfares in Australia will rise between 2 and 3 per cent in 2005, and international business class fares by between 3 and 4 per cent.
