Let the War Begin!

State of Origin rugby league kicks off again on Wednesday night. The biggest and best matches the code can deliver as the Maroons take on the Blues in their house, and 26 grown men beat the living snot out of each other.

The Queensland Maroons will still be pissed after losing the series last year, but can take heart from the pasting they gave the Cockroaches in the final game.

The Blues camp has been decimated in the last week or so with two players sacked and 6 others heavily fined after they got up to no good on a "team bonding" night on the turps in Sydney.

There's no doubt these over-paid wankers are a bunch of irresponsible idiots without a shred of commonsense between them, but all that won't matter when the whistle blows on Wednesday night and the war begins!

Alright then,
Which code is of your better preference? Union or League?

I say give me Union or,.... give me a nudge when the match is over... I can never stay awake through a whole league contest.

Ya didn't miss a thing, Trost - it was bloody zedsville... Qld lost, but that in itself was the least disappointing aspect of the game... If it wasn't for the beer and good company, I may very well have fallen asleep...

If you're going to watch a game of league, insist on an Origin game. It's better than any international, and more intense than any club match.

I hazard a guess and suggest that jb's state of mind had as much to do with the zz-ness of the game as much as the footy itself. Since I actually watched the game :) I can say that it was a decent hit-out without being sensational - at least until extra time, of course.
