Heavy Rain

The weather report earlier in the week suggested we might get some scattered showers developing today. What actually happened was that we got absolutely dumped on during the early hours of morning with a cracking thunderstorm.

I got woken up by thunder around 5am and judging by the flashes I could see through the curtains it was quite a light show as well. At the moment, just before noon, there’s blue skies and warm sunshine. We certainly needed the rain and will gladly take more of it, but I’ll not complain about a sunny day either.
