I was wondering whether we in Albania should use the same technique to get some people to visit us from time to time …

That ad was a piece of bloody genius. It really bloody captured the Aussie spirit. Also the chick that said the controversial phrase is bloody hot. Wouldn’t happen to know what her name is would ya?

I love it when the guy on the ranch says: “And Bill is on his way to open the front gate.”
I just love this accent…

Hey all, i think its brilliant!think of it from a deaf persons point of view…all they would see is the beautiful vast red deserts, gorgeous beaches with pure white sand and clear blue water. It also gives an insight into our australian animals and landmarks we are well renowned for including kangaroos, uluru(ayres rock)and the sydney harbour bridge! it gives people a sense of the laid back, carefree, welcoming country we are!And yes, im a girl but still if i was a guy from another country and i saw lara bingle in that bikini on that beautiful beach id be here before u could ‘lara bingle is spiffin hot as hell’haha anyway…im currently pondering over what to say in my speech on this topic ‘Tourism Australia’s current ad campaign is appropriate’ which is hard because one of the smart girls in my class is doing that its inaproppriate and i need some ideas to start me off…anything will be a big help!Thanx Ash xxxx

The key with Australia is how bloody beautiful it is, and that Americans (obviously the ad is aimed at them - there’s enough Poms coming over already) think the way Aussies speak is “cute”.

An Irishman living in America- Hey no problems with Aussies, Irish or Brits sayin Bloody Hell. However in The States (at least the middle class folks you are trying to attract) it sounds totally out of place and grates on the ears - the nice folks here just dont say bloody hell and certainly dont say it on TV

OneAussie | March 12th, 2007 at 5:51 pm

So - ‘Bloody’ grates on the ears eh? Those so-called middle class people have no difficulty using the ‘F’ or the ‘C’ word but they object to ‘Bloody’???? All I say to that is…”Get a bloody life!!!”
