Algeria demands travel warning be toned down
By Court | Permalink | No Comments | September 1st, 2005 | TrackbackNews because so many Australians were on their way to Algeria…the Algerian government, pleased with their current situation of less than 800 terrorists, are demanding that the Australian government modify its current warning against the state. The warning urges Australian citizens to defer all non-essential travel to the country. In fairness, the UK and US have more lenient warnings (after all, 800 is better than the 28,000 roaming the country in the 1990s), but I’m still not anxious to go there soon.
