This glorious footwear company sponsored the Havaianas Beachley Classic..otherwise known as the world’s biggest women’s surf comp. located in Manly. The massive prize money drew in the best and the competition has been amazing. Layne Beachley is one of the priemier women surfers and is a local girl. Being famous and local- she was key in orchestrating the event. One media source jokes:
“With the Havaianas Beachley Classic slated to kick off in Sydney next week, Layne Beachley’s to-do list probably reads something like this: orchestrate world’s richest women’s surfing event, win world’s richest women’s surfing event, use momentum from running and winning world’s richest women’s surfing event to clinch seventh ASP Women’s World Title.”

Great surfing to watch AND there is a HUGE Red flip flop (thong) right in the middle of Manly beach. They’ve had to have security guards around it 24 hours aday… because what better beach prank….
