Just don’t rubbish the Bee Gees

GET upset about Gallipoli litterbugs. Take umbrage at the Anzac Cove roadworks. Just lay off the Bee Gees.

Given politicians from all sides have tried to turn Anzac Day on the battlefield into a self-serving circus, it’s little wonder a proportion of the backpacker crowd feels compelled to play the clown.

But embattled Veterans Affairs Minister De-Anne Kelly’s decision to show pop videos featuring Bee Gees tunes to keep the visitors awake during the night is entirely defensible.
