Kite-powered skateboard crosses country

A German adventurer has become the first person to travel across Australia on a kite-powered skateboard.

Dirk Gion travelled 3,000 kilometres from Adelaide to Darwin on the special 1.3-metre skateboard, which is powered by large kites, according to his website earthflyer.com.
