United States of Australia?
A certain Mr Bryan Pape, a senior lecturer in law at the University of New England, thinks Australia should be divided into about 20 states, each with its own government.
The Australian constitution allows for the formation of new states and it could happen overnight if the state and federal governments chose to do so.
A complex issue for sure and who wants to sit in on all the committees just to pick new names?
